One of many estates we have done in the beautiful section of Wilmington known as Landfall. Featured in a Star News article, the elements of this design included house lighting, landscape lighting and pond lighting. On the house we used a technique known as “wall-washing” where lighting is used to graze the façade. We framed the property by “scraping” the edges of the flower gardens where beach grass and small palms were set in the corners. There’s another pond on this property which we “moonlit” from above. Our favorite feature however is the meditative bench in the far back which is being lit from the branch of an oak from above.
